Chattbott Chatbot Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Chattbott ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit https://www.chattbott.ai or use the Chattbott service.
Information we collect
- Information you give us — such as your name, email address and message when you use our contact form.
- Account information — when you sign up for the Chattbott app, including your name, email and billing details.
- Usage information — basic technical data such as pages visited, browser type and approximate location, collected through cookies or privacy-friendly analytics.
How we use information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the Chattbott service.
- To send product or account updates you have asked for. You can opt out at any time.
- To keep our website and service secure and to improve them.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business — for example form handling (Web3Forms), email delivery and hosting — and when the law requires it.
Are chatbot conversations private?
Yes. Conversations between your customers and your Chattbott AI chatbot are private to your account. Only you and the team members you invite can view them. Content you upload to train your chatbot, and the conversations it handles, belong to you. We process that data only to provide the service and never use it to train AI models for other customers.
Does the chatbot store customer data?
Chattbott stores conversation history so your team can review chats, follow up on handoffs and improve answers over time. You control how long history is kept, and you can export or permanently delete conversations and training content at any time from your dashboard.
The chatbot only accesses the knowledge sources and integrations you connect. If you link an order, booking or CRM system, you choose exactly which information it may read and which actions need a human to approve.
How we keep chatbot data secure
- Encryption — data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Access control — team roles limit who can see conversations and change settings.
- Least access — the chatbot can only use sources and integrations you approve.
- Human handoff — sensitive requests, such as billing disputes, can be routed straight to your team.
We recommend never asking customers to share passwords or full payment card numbers in any chat, and we design the chatbot to avoid requesting them.
Data retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above and protect it with reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
Website visitors and cookies
On https://www.chattbott.ai we use only the cookies needed to run the site and understand basic usage. We do not sell visitor data or use it for third-party advertising.
